AROS has years of experience in SNP array based genotyping of individuals
for association studies and pharmacogenetics.
Affymetrix SNP mapping arrays
We offer the
range of Affymetrix GeneChip® Mapping arrays that cover
10,000 to 1 mill SNP´s in humans and many other species.
The starting material is restricted to only 250 ng of DNA, which
can be obtained from most blood samples.
Illumina SNP arrays
The Illumina system offers custom SNP content from 96-1536 plex and extreme high density haplotype based arrays up to 1 million SNP´s. For details see www.Illumina.com
AROS performs the analysis compliant with 21CFR part 58 (GLP) and
OECD Principles of GLP.
The SNP array based genotyping is ideal for association studies,
linkage analysis, identification of responder/ non-responder haplotypes
etc.
PCR based genotyping of small numbers of SNP´s
AROS
offers to perform analysis of single SNP´s, or a low number
of SNP´s, using realt-time PCR technology
(see Quantitative PCR).
This service is provided if the customer has already identified SNPs´of
interest, or if AROS has identified a number of SNP´s using Affymetrix
mapping arrays, and these needs to be validated in another dataset.
