AROS is able to generate expression profiles from as little as 25 nanograms
of RNA, e.g. from microdissected tissues.
AROS academic staff will be happy to help the customer design the
study with respect to number of replicates, time frame, time points,
tissue preservation etc.
AROS has experience in comparative studies of drug action, gene over-expression
and siRNA knock down studies.
RT-PCR
For analysis of a few genes RT-PCR is most cost effective. AROS
provides this service if the customer has already identified genes
of interest. In other cases RT-PCR is used to validate genes identified
by microarrays, such as genes forming signatures for drug response.
RT-PCR is very sensitive and can be applied to very small biopsies
or small numbers of cells
